A typical day aboard Lazy Bones
Days on the yacht start pretty early even if you’re not normally an early riser, something about the sea air makes you want to get up and perhaps sit on the aft deck with a cup of coffee. Sunrises in the islands are something to behold, the water is flat and all around you is still, quiet and very peaceful.
After breakfast we sail to our afternoon anchorage. Securing the boat in our secluded cove we can enjoy a glass of wine with lunch. Following lunch for those that are up for it a little snorkeling or perhaps some kneeboard exercise or just sunning on the deck. For the adventurous a nice stroll along the beach or perhaps some island exploring for lost doubloons.
Assuming all are ready we take another sail to where we will spend the evening, or if we are having too much fun, just stay for the night. That is the advantage of a crewed charter yacht, wherever you want to be, there you are.
Arriving at our night harbor we set a secure hook and play the afternoon away. For those interested perhaps a short scuba dive at a close site to visit the local sea creatures. After our afternoon entertainment it is happy hour in the cockpit with the Captains special beverage of the day and hors d'oeuvres.
Dinner is served in the salon or al fresco when all are ready. Coffee, dessert and perhaps an after dinner drink in the cockpit just in time to watch the sun drop below the horizon. If we are lucky perhaps we will see the green flash. For a interesting explanation of this unique and beautiful phenomena visit Andrew Young's website, "An Introduction to Green Flashes".
Sitting on the aft deck as the stars appear cannot be outdone for putting you in the mood for relaxation. Planning for the next days adventures is a great way to end the evening, after all it is your private yacht.
